Ambalappuzha Sri Krishna Temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Ambalappuzha, a town in the Alappuzha district of Kerala, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is one of the most revered Krishna temples in Kerala.
The temple is believed to have been built during the 15th or 17th century AD. The architecture of the temple follows the traditional Kerala style, characterized by intricate woodwork and beautiful murals depicting episodes from Hindu mythology.
One of the main attractions of the Ambalappuzha Sri Krishna Temple is the daily offering of Palpayasam, a sweet milk porridge, to the deity. The Palpayasam is believed to be exceptionally delicious and is considered as the Lord's favorite offering. Devotees from far and wide visit the temple to partake in this offering, which is served as prasadam (blessed food).
