Gavi is a beautiful tourist destination located in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, India. It is known for its picturesque landscapes, dense forests, wildlife, and serene surroundings. 

Gavi is situated in the Periyar Tiger Reserve, part of the Western Ghats, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is approximately 40 kilometers southwest of the town of Kumily.

Gavi is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers. The region is home to several animal species such as elephants, tigers, leopards, bears, and various species of deer. It is also a paradise for bird lovers, with over 260 species of birds, including the Nilgiri wood pigeon, great Indian hornbill, and sunbird.

One of the popular activities in Gavi is boating in the scenic Gavi Lake. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful ride amidst the tranquil surroundings, surrounded by thick forests and hills.
