The Hill Palace Museum is a prominent cultural and heritage museum located in Tripunithura, a suburb of Kochi (Cochin) in Kerala, India. It was once the official residence of the Maharaja of Kochi and is now converted into a museum that showcases the royal heritage and artifacts of the Kochi dynasty.
The Hill Palace, built in the 19th century, is set amidst scenic surroundings and covers a vast area of around 54 acres. The palace complex consists of several buildings, including the main palace building, various administrative blocks, a deer park, and beautifully landscaped gardens.
As a museum, the Hill Palace displays a wide range of exhibits that offer a glimpse into the regal lifestyle and traditions of the Kochi royal family. The museum houses a remarkable collection of artifacts, including royal furniture, weapons, paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, coins, and other valuable antiquities.
