Shakthan Thampuran Palace, also known as Vadakkekara Palace, is a historical palace located in Thrissur city, Kerala, India. It is named after Shakthan Thampuran, the erstwhile ruler of the Kingdom of Cochin, who renovated and expanded the palace during his reign in the late 18th century.
The palace showcases a unique blend of Dutch and Kerala architectural styles. It features spacious halls, intricately carved wooden ceilings, and a traditional Kerala-style courtyard. The palace is built on a raised platform and has a two-story structure with a central courtyard.
