Tali Maha Shiva Kshetram
Pilgrimage Center

The Tali Temple, also known as the Tali Sree Maha Vishnu Temple, is one of the oldest and most significant temples in Kozhikode. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is an important religious and cultural landmark in the region. The temple was originally built in the 14th century by the Zamorins, the local rulers, and it has a rich history associated with Hindu rituals and traditions. The temple architecture follows the Kerala style of temple design, with wooden carvings, intricate sculptures, and a serene atmosphere that adds to its spiritual appeal.
The temple is located near the bustling city center, yet its peaceful surroundings make it an ideal place for meditation and reflection. The temple complex is a fine example of the traditional Kerala temple architecture, with a large central shrine, a beautiful pond, and a tower-like structure called Shikhara. Devotees visit the temple to seek blessings and to participate in various cultural and religious festivals held throughout the year, including the annual Tali Temple Festival.
The temple is open from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
