It is the only temple in Kerala dedicated to Lord Parasurama. This 2000-year-old temple is situated on the banks of the Karamana River.It ia an ancient hindu temple where devotees pay homage to ancestors & after-death ceremonies are performed. Lots of devotees gather during the karkidaka vavu day to pay homage to the departed souls of forefathers, after taking a dip in the holy water. The temple is considered a protected monument by the Archaeology Department of Kerala. This heritage structure is added under the list of monuments of national importance.
